Applying for a Blue Card

Under new laws introduced in August 2020 you must hold a valid blue card before starting any child related work or volunteering. As all our of teams (including Seniors) have athletes under the age of 18 all coaches, managers and executive committee members must hold a blue card.

How to apply for a blue card or exemption card

To apply for a blue card or exemption card, follow these 3 steps

1. Have a customer referene number (CRN) from the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)

2. Register for an online account. This is how we verify your indentity and obtain the photo for your card.

3. Apply for your blue or exemption card using the online appicant portal.

You will need to register for a Blue Card Services online account before you can apply for your blue or exemption card. You only need to register once. 

Once you have registered for your online account you must log into the online applicant portal to apply for or renew your card. 

NOTE: The online application work best on desktop or tablet devices and using current browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.  There may be compatibility issues with older browsers, such as Internet Explorer 11 or earlier.
